Why It Matters
What you get when the advisory actually fits where you are.
Most business support is built for companies that already have traction. Driftwood Co is built for the earlier, messier part — and that changes what we offer and how we offer it.

Six things that matter to early founders
Direct access to experienced thinking
You work with a senior advisor, not a junior analyst or a templated process.
Bangkok-based, regionally contextual
Advisory that accounts for the real texture of doing business in Thailand and SEA.
Honest, low-pressure conversations
No upsell, no agenda beyond helping you think. Sessions run at your pace.
Written outputs after every engagement
Summaries, outlines, and next-step notes so progress doesn't disappear between sessions.
Three clear engagement options
From a single sounding session to ongoing retainer — sized to where you actually are.
Strict confidentiality as standard
Everything discussed stays between us. No referral networks, no shared client lists.
In Depth
Each benefit, explained properly
Advisory drawn from real early-stage experience
The team at Driftwood Co has worked in and around B2B ventures in Southeast Asia for more than a decade. That background informs how we read situations, what questions we ask, and what we recognise as a real problem versus a founder anxiety that tends to resolve on its own. We don't import frameworks from markets that don't resemble Thailand and call it advisory.
- Over ten years of combined early-stage B2B advisory experience
- Specific knowledge of the Thai and Southeast Asian commercial environment
- Experience working with founders who had no prior venture background
A process that follows where you are, not where a template says you should be
Each engagement starts with a genuine effort to understand what stage you're at and what's actually weighing on you. From there, sessions are structured around that — not around a fixed curriculum. If the priority shifts mid-engagement, we shift with it. The aim is useful progress, not completion of a program.
- Intake note reviewed before every session so we don't repeat ground
- Written summary sent within 48 hours of each engagement
- No minimum commitment after the first session — continue only if it's useful
A working relationship, not a one-size service
We work with a small number of founders at a time — deliberately. That means when you're in an engagement with us, you're getting real attention. Sessions are scheduled to fit your week, not ours. Follow-up notes get written thoughtfully, not templated. And if something comes up between sessions that needs a quick exchange, that's part of the retainer relationship, not a billable extra.
- Small client roster means genuine availability
- Response to messages within one business day
- Retainer includes async notes, not just scheduled meetings
Transparent, published pricing — no surprises
Our prices are listed on this site. There are no hidden fees, no scope-creep invoices, and no pricing that varies by how much we think we can charge. The Founder Sounding Session (฿3,500) is a self-contained engagement. The Business Setup Support (฿17,000) and Advisory Retainer (฿31,000/month) include clear deliverables. If you need more or less, we'll discuss that openly.
- All pricing published, no quote required to understand costs
- Invoiced in Thai Baht with no surprise currency additions
- Retainer can be paused or closed with reasonable notice
Clarity and momentum as concrete outcomes
What founders typically come away from sessions with: a clearer sense of what they're building and why, a more honest read on their assumptions, and a specific set of next steps that feel actionable rather than overwhelming. Progress in the early phase often looks like better questions, not bigger plans — and we think that's worth working towards carefully.
- Next-steps document after every session keeps momentum concrete
- Setup engagements end with a priority plan, not a binder of recommendations
- Retainer founders report feeling less isolated in their decision-making
How We Compare
A different kind of support than what's usually on offer
| What you're evaluating | Typical Business Consultants | Driftwood Co |
|---|---|---|
| Who you'll talk to | Often a junior team member once onboarded | Always a senior advisor directly |
| Stage they're built for | Mid-stage or growth companies with existing revenue | Specifically the early, pre-traction phase |
| How pricing works | Quote-based, often opaque until proposal | Published, fixed pricing on the website |
| Local Thai market knowledge | Varies, often limited or imported | Based in Bangkok, familiar with Thai context |
| Written outputs | Large reports, often arriving late | Concise summaries and next-steps notes |
| Exit flexibility | Often locked into minimum-term contracts | Month-to-month retainer, pause or stop freely |
What Sets Us Apart
Things you won't find in most advisory relationships
A post-session note, every time
We write a summary after every engagement — what was discussed, what was decided, and what comes next. It takes time to do it properly, but founders consistently tell us it's one of the most useful parts of the process.
We tell you when we're not the right fit
If what you need falls outside B2B commercial advisory — legal, accounting, regulated financial advice — we'll say so directly and point you towards a more suitable resource, rather than trying to stretch our scope to keep the engagement going.
No third-party referral arrangements
We don't earn fees for introducing you to service providers. Any referrals we make are made because we think they're right for you — not because someone's paying us to make them.
Strict information separation between clients
We work with founders in different sectors and keep each engagement entirely separate. What you share with us stays entirely within your engagement — it doesn't inform our thinking with other clients, even indirectly.
